Krabi Itinerary: Things to do in Krabi for 4D3N

Our long-awaited Krabi trip has finally arrived! We booked it in the beginning year and has been waiting. Overall total spending for this Krabi trip was around RM1300 per pax (All inclusive). Spend a little over our budget but it is okay because we drink almost every night. Haha, The beers there are irresistible, is way cheaper than Malaysia’s beer.

krabi things to do

DAY 1 – Railay Beach, Krabi

Arrived at Krabi International Airport around 8 am + in the morning. Our Klook driver was late, but phew at least he came and picked all of us up. As we have 6 of us, it would be best to hire a private van to shuttle us to our hotel and with Klook, everything was made easy! He sends us straight to our hotel, and we put our luggage at the hotel. It is uphill of an alley, very accessible. Hence, we start exploring our surrounding area and going to Family Mart & 7 Eleven to munch some food.

Since we can’t check in yet & have plenty of time, we decided to go to Railay Beach! Just costs us 200 baht for a return journey trip using longtail boat. Do take note the lower parts of the leg below the knee will get wet. So wear the right outfit! We stroll around the beach, and there are so many Ang Mohs sunbathing there. Not keen for Asian like us. The food & souvenirs there seems to be more expensive. Had our lunch there, it was okay.

Came back to the hotel, check in & rest a while. Late evening, we went to stroll around the area and searching for island packages. After a long negotiation with a vendor, we deal with 1x Island Hopping tour to Hong Island + 1x Emerald Pool & Hot Spring Tour + Transport to the night market (2- way) for 1840 baht per person. Not too bad right? It is a must to eat the pork stick in Thailand, super yummy! The night ended with drinking & games session.

Day 2 – Emerald Pool, Krabi

Was supposed to go Hong Island tour today but when we reached the meeting point, the in charge person told us that we need to exchange to become emerald pool tour today then the next day Hong Island. We were quite mad cause all our outfit & mood were prepared for the island tour. Ended up they gave us a complimentary upgrade to private van all by ourselves. We felt better & happier!

Reached destination & we have to walk a long distance journey to the blue lagoon & emerald pool. The road was filled with some rocks & stone, so it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes. I only wore my beach shoes. Could be pricky at some point when accidentally stepped on some rocks. We only can take a picture at the blue lagoon & once done quickly off we go to Emerald Pool. The water was super clear. Be extra careful when going down! After done, we headed off to our next destination, Hot Spring! The weather for me was okay, not until super-hot until I can’t tahan but cannot stay inside for too long. Our tour ended, and we were sent back to the hotel.

Back hotel, bathed & rest. Around late evening, we left our hotel & wanted to go to the Tesco that we passed by earlier. It was super far, more than 20 minutes of walking distance. We walked & just right beside the Tesco, and we found a mini-mart that sells beer in carton boxes. We bought & took Tuk Tuk back to our hotel. Pity that Tuk Tuk person has to fetch 6 of us & beer, he was swaying left & right. Then, we walked to our dinner place, 11/1 Thai Food Cocktail. The area was just tiny however feels cosy. Food & price are excellent and reasonable! Had massage which is just opposite our hotel, not that good. Not satisfied with the massage.

Day 3 – Hong Island (Island Hopping Tour in Krabi)

Off we go to Hong Island, Island hopping tour. We have to pay an additional 300 baht for the national park fee. The Hong Lagoon was the most beautiful, but we are only able to take pictures. Other islands were quite boring & dull. Went to snorkelling and only able to see the same fish again & again which is very common. Oh ya, we did not choose the famous Phi Phi Island tour because the Maya bay was closed. Sad!

Back to hotel after the island hopping & had some rest. Was not satisfied with the massage the day before hence I googled for a better massage place. It was more ‘atas’ & much much better. Though it is pricier but worth every penny. That night, we have a good & affordable seafood dinner. Tummy was super satisfied. Walked & shopped around the street and then when we were tired, we went back to the hotel and started our drinking session.

Day 4 – Free & Easy and back to KL

End of our Krabi trip, super sad! Having strong withdrawal symptom though I am leaving for Shanghai the next day. Last day, we just shopped to the max & bought everything that we want while walking around. I went to each family mart along our street to buy the things that we want. Cause some family mart has some items some don’t have. Overall is a good trip, we spend about RM1300 each per person though exceeds a little of our budget.
