Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS) was first of its kind in Asia, it was opened since June 2017. This park featured many interesting attractions that are worth dropping by when you were in Ipoh! Especially the entrance fee to this park is FREEEE!! You have not read wrong, starting from 1st March 2019 the park has adopted different strategy attracts more people to come.
How Much The Ticket Price For Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS)?
The entrance to the park is FREE, starting from 1st March 2019.
To break it down there are two options to play the rides while you in the theme park:
Option 1: Pay To Play
The coupon charges for rides or attraction are ranging from as low as 1 coupon to up to 5 coupons. Since 1 coupon cost RM 3 hence per ride or attraction cost from RM 3 to RM 15.
You can buy these coupons at the entrance or booths in designated spots around the park.

Option 2: Unlimited Day Pass
If you are planning to spend the whole day in the theme park, I will recommend you to get the Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS) (Unlimited Day Pass). The price of the ticket has a significant reduction from previously RM100 to currently RM50. I would say if you are planning to enter 5 or more attractions and rides in the parks, it is worth getting it. Who Are More Suitable For Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS) ?
Before proceeding further, I wanted to share my humble opinion on the demographics who are suitable for this park, as most of the attractions and rides are designed for children. I would say this park is more suitable for the family with 4 to 12 years old children.
For the thrill seeker, you have to carry a lower expectation while visiting this park but since it is free entrance no harm dropping by to take some photo.
What Are Some Attractions Or Rides Worth Going? (Recommendation)
1. Boiboiboi 4D Show (3 Coupons, RM9)
You can find the Boiboiboi 4D show in Animation Square. This is a must visit for Boiboiboi fans, it is the best Boiboiboi 4D show in the region so far.
2. Stunt Legend Arena (3 Coupons, RM9)
Find the first live cars and bike stunt show in Southeast Asia in the Live Action Zone. In my opinion, this is the one of the best live show I ever watched. Must Go!
3. Space X-Plorers (3 Coupons, RM9)
This is specially highlighted for the thrill seeker, and in my opinion, is the only worth highlight thrill rides under thrill rides category.
4. The Smurfs Partyland (1 Coupon, RM3)
The Smurfs Partyland featured Smurfs car rides for your child!
5. The Smurfs Theatre (3 Coupons, RM9)
This is an interactive animated show with special effect, the show set on Papa Smurf’s magical laboratory. Your kids must love it!

For drivers from Kuala Lumpur and Penang, you can reach here via the North-South Expressway to Ipoh city centre (2 hours drive).
MAPS has two large car parks providing free off-street parking for cars
By Bus
From Kuala Lumpur or Penang, take the bus and stop at Ipoh Amanjaya Bus Terminal. Then, take Grab to reach the park. (2 minutes away)
By Train
From KL Sentral or from any KTM station, take the Electric Train Service (ETS) to the Ipoh Railway Station. From there, the park is 15 minutes away by car or Grab.
